These two pictures (above and underneath) was taken the same place, with a few seconds apart, but with different settings on the camera. I just found it kinda cool how clearly you can see that the setting the camera is on really makes a difference

Autumn update
It seems like autumn is starting... it's getting cold, the fall collections are coming to the stores, and everyone are blogging about chilly autumn days and golden leafs. But I'm so not ready for this. Autumn is not my favorite season, but I agree it's pretty, and usually I'm just happy because fall means it's almost winter, and winter means snow, christmas, candles and hot chocolate. But this year, all I can focus on is the cold, gray and sadness of the season.
My theory (warning, it might be a little weird and might not make sense to you) is that last year it was such a long and cold winter (I was in northern Canada, and we had snow for at least 5 months!) that I just got enought of it, and now I can't seem to grasp that winter is already coming again.
This post isn't the most positive, but so much has been on my mind lately, and beside my own confusion, stress and what not, I'm trying to deal with some of my friends' relationship-problems and I'm trying not to make it affect me too much...
Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day!

Pretty morning sun
The last couple of mornings I have gotten up just in time to see the sun rise, and it's been so beautiful! So with my new camera in my hand, and still just in my pj I've been standing on my balcony taking pictures. The same tree kinda pops up in most of these pictures, but when I'm standing on the balcony I just can't seem to get the sun in the picture without the tree.
I had a few more pictures, but they needed editing, and since my computer wouldn't cooperate with me today, I'll save that for later.

New camera!
I finally got my new camera! Unfortunately I don't have that many pictures yet, because my battery died, but I can't wait to really test it out sometime soon. I did have time to go outside (in the dark) and snap a few photos.
This picture was taken with a makro-lens that I borrowed from my dad

Florida
During my family's summer-holiday this year we went to Florida for 10 days. My dad's colleague Tammi has a beach house there so we stayed with her, her husband and her daughter, Rachel. It was a closed community with many big mansions, so it was really different compared to the places my family and I usually stay on holidays, since we uually go backpacking.
We had extremely nice and warm weather, but every afternoon we had around 30 min of heavy rain and sometimes thunder (see the picture above, which was taken just before the rain started).

My dad took this picture of me that I don't really like, but the light just looks amazing

Forgotten things
When I came home from Canada I had A LOT to unpack - not only my suitcases but more or less my entire room which was packed in cardboard-boxes. And of course, while trying to put it all in order, I snapped a few photos, of pretty things and things I had forgotten about.
The picture above is some of my mom's old sewing patterns that somehow ended up in my room?
A retro clock and some old books
A vintage photo I found deep down in a random box
My painting stuff is finally (somewhat) in order
This is an old, nonfunctioning camera my dad was about to throw out once, but I saved it... Now I just need to figure out where to put it...

So much to say, so little time
So much has happened since the last time I wrote! The time has gone by so fast, and there haven't been many quiet moments.
I want to post about a lot of the stuff that I have experienced, but that's way too much to tell (and way too many pictures) for one post. So the next couple of weeks (or months) my updates might be a little outdated and not quite in order.
Coming home from Canada has been a bit confusing, sad and very happy. I have really mixed feelings about this, but mostly it was nice to come back and see all of my friends and my family again, go kayaking and move back into my room.
Starting at a new school has been absolutely wonderful, and I love my language/drama class!
I can tell that school has gotten more serious, but it's always good with a challenge (I might take this back later...).
Right now I'm super excited for the Coldplay concert in Copenhagen tomorrow! I'm so happy that i got tickets, and I just can't wait... plus, I think Marina and the diamonds are performing as well (opening act), which just makes it all even better (who thought this could even get better?)
I think that was all for now

Experimenting with nails
Well, I really wanted to try this, but since I'm kinda cheap I was looking for something less expensive than Sally Hansen's. I found some cheap ones in Ardene. Unfortunately, because they were very metallicy, I wasn't able to put them on smooth. But, they seemed to last pretty well, so now I want to try the 'real deal'
| Canada day nails - awesome right? |
Unlike many other girls, I've never worn fake nails - not untill now. As a gift from my friend I got the cutest fake nails with canadian flags on them, and what better way to wear them than on Canada day?
I like my nails round instead of square, and the fake nails where way too long for my taste, so after some cutting and filing, I glued them on. At first I didn't use enough glue, so a few fell off, but I quickly got the hang of it, and I found it surprisingly easy!
It really was an awesome accesory, and even though Canada day is over, I'm keeping them on :)
| My gold sticker-nails... looks fine from far, but not that perfect up close |
